My husband has recently confessed a affair that happened 16 yrs ago while we were married, he now has 'flashes' of sexual images or people. This can be someone he does not know, maybe from television, books etc. But can also be from past relationships prior to marrige and of the person he affaired with. He can be driving the car or even making love to me his wife, he says he has no control over these flashes that come and last for 10 seconds, he does not entertain them but says to God he does not want them. My question is could he control them and these 'flashes' coming at least once a week excessive or normal to a man??

is not normal. Has your husband talked with a physician
about this?

I would also consider praying over him or having your pastor pray over him. This could be a spiritual attack that is not of God, but of The Evil One.
