(((((((((((FHJ))))))))))),
Everybody is safe, Praise the Lord!!!!!!!!! All family and friends are well. We had a few anxious moments about my h's mom and dad. The eye of Ike went right over them. They had a massive tree uprooted but it did not touch their home. Of course, everyone except my mom does not have any power. Mom lives on the SW side of Houston but did get her share of the wind and rain, believe me. My SIL was at work at St. Joe's hospital downtown Houston (she's a Med. Tech) and is still being held hostage because she cannot leave the bldg because of the debris all around downtown. Gotta say this too, Praise the Lord also for texting. It amazes me that even though you cannot call on your cell at certain moments, you can text. What did we ever do without cell phones and their capabilities?
FHJ, thank you so much for your prayers. You are so right in saying that we are indeed "virtual" family. I cannot explain the comfort in my soul knowing that sisters and brothers in Christ are praying for you when your spirit is troubled. The joys (my grandson) the sorrows (my situation with h.) and the worries (family facing Ike) have been divided or mulitplied with the sharing with such a wonderful "family"! Know that I am here for you too. Ready, willing, and able. Mercy, maybe things will calm down around here a bit now. It's been a might busy these last few months. I don't mind saying that I'm exhausted and ready for a staid existence for a long while.
Love, as always,
