SAM, thanks for the advice. We saw the counselor already before we left, and have already discussed it and plan on seeing her regularly both as a couple and individually. Unfortunately our school is very small, in a small town, and resources like a Christian counselor that specializes in this sort of thing aren't easy to come by. With those two bits of information in mind, is that what you mean as far as additional help and effort, or do you think something else is necessary? We're both committed to doing everything we can to get through this; although I don't know for sure what God has in mind as far as the future of our relationship, right now I'm with him and plan on staying until God directs me otherwise. As long as we are together, and even as a friend after that, I want to do what I can to help, and he is showing a lot of effort in staying clean and growing closer to God.

I'll look at the website when I have a few minutes of spare time (-: Thank you, and thanks also for the verses.

There are other resources than live in-person counseling. There are online resources, there counseling arrangements over the telephone, etc. I think live in-person is the best option, don't go without anything if it is not available for you.

Wonderful! Glad you are seeing the school counselor. Perhaps there are some additional recommendations she can make for support groups in your area. Have a Merry Christmas. May you have the presence of God's peace.
