Jeannie,
Yiles!!! When your life it that crazy, there is just no way to process everything. You need a break girl! You sound so much like me when I was younger, just running like crazy all the time, putting my troubles aside, and tuning into the good things to try to keep my generally upbeat attitude. The only problem is, somewhere it is going to come out. maybe while your mother in law is there, she could help you with your kids and your dogs and your husband and you could take some quality "calgone" time.

It is funny but I do run quite a bit! I just keep relying on God giving me no more than I can handle-with His strength. We are so busy!

My mother in law is a chatterer but she will be a help. She came to help with the kids over spring break. That will be a blessing!

j3anjean - My wife has always had a "stress induced hives" problem. She would breal out in hives before piano recitals as a kid, and they problem still lurks (she's now 50). Any really great stressor will bring them on.

Hey Jeannie,

Haven't heard from you in a while. Was just wondering how things were going with the vow renewal. It's suppose to happen in early July, right? Hope all is well and am praying for you too.

Funny how God puts certain people on our minds at the same time!

Yes, Jeannie - wondering how things are going with the planning?

Hey Sam!!!!!

Was just wondering about her since she seemed a bit nervous about it all. I can certainly understand her hesitation. My husband, just yesterday, hinted at a renewal for us. I'm sorry to say that I am not quite there yet. The anniversary ordeal still has me a bit leery.

Hey RJ, dear sister - several Forum friends have particularly come to mind this week .... and you are one of them. How are you? Long time no 'hear'!

Jeannie was also in my thoughts because of the imminent vow renewal. And SAM - I am praying that your counselling studies are going well.

God bless each of you :)

Thanks FHJ -
Studies are rather challenging these days. The older brain does not wish to memorize like it used to.
So, please keep praying. I need to take a test next week that has me rather concerned.

Gosh, so wonderful to hear from you, FHJ! Life has been hectic for the last few months. Our son just gradutated high school. We had 14 people come to help celebrate. Did I mention they were all from out of state? It was wonderful to have them here but imagine what my poor detailed mind was put through. Pullled it off, though. Everyone had a great time and I managed to fed and accommodate with no problems. (Well, except for the fact of having no electricity for about 5 hours that first night with having 10 people to feed. Took them out to eat needless to say.) After that, we went to orientation at the university our son will be attending in the fall. Please pray that he gets a great residence hall and a Christ-like roommate. After that we went home to Texas for a visit. Our son is now in Tenn. for World Changers. He loves it! After that we will be taking him to Gettysburg, Pa and Pigeon Forge, Tenn. for a little vacating. After that we will all (including my adorable grandson) be going to Ft. Walton Beach for a few days of fun in the sun. I am ready for that beach scene. Not so much the swimming but the sound and smell. My favorite thing to do is to sit on the balcony and drink coffee or a coke and have my mind not think. Add the fact of eating seafood and I'm all set.

In other words, busy am I. I love it. As far as my husband and I, we are doing well. He still wishes to redo our anniversary, but I hesitate somewhat. Just still dealing with certain feelings about what happened back in Feb. He also wishes to renew our vows. I just know that I cannot go there at this time. For the most part though, we are ok. Tie all that into the fact that I'm in the menopause mode, with an added dose of empty nest syndrome. I really feel the need of a massage, believe me.

Hope all is well with you. What's happening in your world, these days?

Sam - The very thought of studying, memorizing gives me chills. My hat is off to you, dear sister. Prayers are coming your way for that test. If you could just sit and talk to them, you would get an A+. All of us on here who have rec'd your wisdom know that for a fact. Good luck!!!!!!

Thanks so much! Hubby is my biggest cheerleader and is willing to test me with all my flash cards.

Sounds like you have an incredibly busy summer, but one filled with fun and joy.

Sam,

Would it be too personal to ask exactly what you are studying to do? Will you be teaching or counseling?

I know you just really started but how much longer do you have to go before you graduate?

I am taking an adult accelerated program in Human Services. It provides an opportunity to branch out into several areas, which includes social work. I really want to continue to work with families and marriages. However, I think I will get a better idea of where God wants me to work as I do my internship at various agencies in our area. I should be done in 18 months with my bachelors degree. After that, it will be on to my Masters which has a 14 month accelerate program. I have two acquaintences who took this route, and have gone into licensed counseling.
