Unmotivated

Issues with raising Godly children and teens, church attendance, bible
reading, home schooling, and sound morals in our kids. As well as the unpleasant issues
facing parents such as drugs, alcohol, and early pregnancies as well as
issues related to the blending of two families into one.

No offense taken, rd. Now that you mention that, I am almost sure that my attitude has had an affect on his. (Affect, effect? I always mix those two up!) I know that over the years, my kids have been through quite a lot. When I am stressed, he has always been very aware. Both boys are. The youngest (12) gets clingy and the oldest (15) gets moody. Mercy. I have some work to do! They have been in Florida with my parents for a week. They come home tomorrow. I really need to fix this.

aargh.....guilt!

My boys, sadly, know my "past" including the drugs and alcohol. They saw what it did to me. My 15 year old refuses to even take a Tylenol. He has broken his hand in 3 places before and says he would rather feel the pain than take a drug. I keep explaining that it is a medication, not a a drug, but he is adamant. I am lucky that he is so healthy and we haven't had to deal with antibiotics or anything. Poor parenting and a lousy lifestyle have their repercussions. I know God has forgiven me for those things. I know my family has, as well, but there are still repercussions. :(
