Dave, I just went to the site. Can you tell me how it's going? How in depth is it? Is it ok for new believers? Thanks, GIC

GIC

It's going well, our lifegroup was sort of floating around. We're on the third section of booklet one.

Operation Timothy, is designed for the believer to explain his/her faith to a new believer. It's a guiding process of discipling to another person.

But since many people jump on the spirtual train at different points, we could all use the process to assess where we really are, i.e. take an inventory.

For example the first book first section is entitled, "The Bible believe it or not". The section explores the nature and background of the bible and what it is. In our Lifegroup we found that we all didn't believe the bible 100%. Some did while others felt the stories were not true, but were meant to teach God's words. Others confused about evolution didn't buy the whole Adam and Eve story etc.

Again it's a great process to evaluate your own status, and to prepare yourself to share the good news with first other believers and then hopeful with someone who doesn't know Jesus Christ and the rest of the story.

The entire program is presented in theLeader's Book, and is at their website in total, together with leader notes, suggested questions etc. Each booklet is further highlight on a separate webpage.

Book #1 - Finding the Way
Book #2 - Knowing the Way
Book #3 - Living the Power
Book #4 - Making a Difference

I'm not part of their organization, my wife learn about Operation Timothy from her friend at another church/lifegroup.
