I have been praying for wisdom for quite a while now. It has been the desire of my heart to understand things I do not understand, and to learn things I don't know. I wanted to be brought up into a new, higher, level in my walk. We have approached our pastor on this months ago and he said to attend the bible studies. I did so for a while, but it's a 30-40 minute ride to church at 8 o'clock at night. I wasn't getting home until between 10 and 11 and I was falling asleep at the wheel (Jason stayed home with the kids). I wasn't getting what I wanted out of the bible studies anyway. I was learning more about the bible, but nothing I couldn't do at home with my study bible. I wanted more!

The Lord has recently answered my request in two awesome and powerful ways. One, we have gotten hooked up with older friends of our church who have been covering our situation with my in-laws in prayer. We have recently agreed upon meeting once a week as they know we desire to be discipled and when we met before, the Holy Spirit was moving. Also, one night as I was surfing the net (which I don't do often and don't even know how I found this) and I was guided to some sites that offered free printable teaching articles. After using some discernment and prayer, I found two particular sites that offered some real powerful articles on such topics as healing, deliverance, and authority. Whew! Just the topic that was recently on this board, and just what Jason and I are dealing with right now (regarding our daughter with arthritis). I printed out so much awesome info. that Jason had to go out and buy more paper and binder to put it all in, and ordered a new ink cartridge! I am so excited!

I have the links to these sites if anybody is interested in teaching articles. Does anybody know of any other sites on the internet that offer teaching articles (other than books- I already have alot of books and would get what I need here)?

Sorry, I'm not familiar with any sites either. The church I attend has tapes available of the messages each week. Is that something you would be interested in? I believe you can call and have them mailed out to you.

Ok, the website I found is InJesus.com. They have a huge list of ministries that offer different things. I just scrolled down the list and let the Holy Spirit guide me to where I needed to be. The two sites I have found to be helpful so far are specifically, Andrew Wommack Ministries and Broken Chains ministries. Broken Chains has been awesome in ministering to me. It teaches alot on healing, deliverance, the breaking of curses and what not. I don't know if you can go straight there by trying BrokenChainsMinistries.com, but I know you can find then through InJesus.com (sorry, I am not that handy with the internet!) Let me know if anybody finds these sites helpful!

the breaking of curses and what not

I visted the Broken Chains Ministries, which in turn has a reference to Curses and How they effect you

Here is there is what they posted:

We do teaching & prayers with Christians & pastors to lead in breaking generational curses/sins of the fathers and other doorways for curses. You can be free from poverty, sickness & pain. Indian reservations & churches under heavy spiritual attacks report growth & freedom after ministry. Healing, miracles & deliverance occur during ministry. The teaching/ prayers take 2 nights.

This is pretty heavy stuff :(

Yes, heavy stuff, but should we avoid it b/c it brings us out of our comfort zone? Should we study those things that we like, such as forgiveness, and ignore those things that make us a little uncomfortable, like curses? In order to be closer to God, we need to know the Word of God, the whole Word! God says His people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). Power up! Learn how to break curses, break bonds, take hold of the authority given to us, receive our portion! Jesus died for it! Be set free...

The internet can be a great source of information. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 tells us to "Test everything". He tells us that not everyone who speaks in the name of the Lord is to be accepted without question. Specific tests must be applied and it must be in agreement with the gospel. Not all things are biblically based or interpretation can be way out in left field. While seeking information on the net, I caution you to apply these tests. A great deal of information I have come across in the past is "New Age", not biblical Christianity.

I feel my best source of information is through my home church, the bible and other strong Christians I respect. I do not search the net for biblical advice. That's just me.

This perked my discernment ears up. Reason being, many Indian tribes do not practice biblical Christianity. They have their own version of faith through things of the earth, not of God. Just throwing it out there for further discussion.

What is also interesting on the Broken Chains Website

is a posted link "WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED & OBTAIN ETERNAL SALVATION? - by Rev Will Curtis

He appeared in the Garden of Eden to tempt Eve into disobeying GOD and eating from the 'Tree of Good and Evil". He made Eve want the SAME THING HE DID! To be 'like GOD' or be ''LIKE A GOD'. Things are the same today. Many religions and doctrines teach the people "I AM A GOD! (Especially New-Age)
She took a bite of the . and then persuaded Adam to do the same.

??? Any person who has really read Genesis, knows there was no . eaten. Also Eve didn't have to persuade Adam, he knew what was going on, he was watching the whole thing, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. He knew what is was doing. And this is written by a Reverend?
